Crazy Awesome Legend

there is no 2011 one because it's every two years ![]() Serge's goal rivals that of even some of the premiership players best attempts. Especially since it was against the legend that is David Seamen. I didn't expect anyone to score against van der sarr and I was proved right. Did anyone else feel sorry for Gordon Ramsay? That looked like a really nasty injury. |

Yea I just saw a youtube clip of that like an hour ago. What the guy that hit him was thinking, I don't know. I think Gordan wanted to laugh about it, but he was being marked |

I got worried he was gonna die by the end...... Well in 2010 you get to see the legendary Zidane in action. Yeh was a great goal, although I doubt Seaman is as good as he was. Just shows that professional football players aren't superhuman. Some of the players weren't retired such as Seedorf (played last season for AC Milan, including a full game against Inter Milan) and Ljungberg (in the J-League), who were both in the ROW team so I guess that'll make it a bigger win for England. |

England had Kevin Phillips though, who still plays professionally in England. The English side also had much younger players; Olly Murs, and the two guys from JLS. Even Robbie Williams and Jonathan Wilkes are younger than the likes of Mike Myers, Gordon Ramsey, Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson etc, so in that regard the ROW team kinda got the short end of the stick cuz only the professionals were gonna be able to run as fast as the English's younger players. The ROW team definitely had the better professionals. I mean Hernan Crespo, Edwin Van Der Sar, Roy Keane, Jaap Stam, Clarence Seedorf and Freddie Ljungberg make it seem like a Champions League winning team even though all of them are either retired or on the verge of it, but I reckon Seedorf was going easy on them. I mean, Jaap Stam was a centre back and he ran the entire length of the pitch and had a shot on goal. That would never happen in his playing career, not even in his dreams, so how Clarence Seedorf could claim to be beaten, I dunno lol. He still plays for AC Milan so he's world beating and could have had a lot more shots on goal, he just wanted to get people like Mike Myers scoring the goals which I think is nice of him. If I'm honest I was supporting the ROW side since they had more celebrities I liked, and I remember all of their professionals fondly. It was also great to see Jaap Stam (Manchester United legend) crunch tackle annoying celebrities like the guys from JLS and Olly Murs. Even Roy Keane managed to get one in on Merrygold before he got substituted. It's a shame about Gordon Ramsey though. Teddy Sheringham hadn't meant to hurt him he just went in for a silly challenge for a bit of fun. Initially it looked like Ramsey had just fallen and was having a joke with him but turns out he was pretty hurt. He may have just been winded badly since he's quite old and not used to playing the game though. They didn't really tell anybody how he was after the game though :\ |

Well from the articles I've read it seems like it was a good match overall. I'm not sure what the final amount raised was, someone told me 6.5 million another article read 4 but regardless that's a load amount for UNICEF. I think it's amazing they've raised so much. I only knew about 10 players overall and most of them from the ROW team so it was fun to see highlights |

The biggest problem I have with the whole thing isn't to do with the charity, the televised aspect of it or any of that. I think as a charity event it was probably one of the best I've seen. But I just don't like Jonathan Wilkes. He's famous for being a friend of Robbie Williams and that's about it. He presented a couple of things and played a minor part in like Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, but even then, Soccer-Aid wasn't even his idea - he needed Robbie Williams' brain, money and fame to even dream of being part of it and he seems to think that the whole Soccer-aid thing is about him and takes actually playing the game seriously rather than the charity part. He seems to think he's footballer material, as if he should've been a footballer and like trains constantly for 2 years just to play in this one game. Hardly anybody knows or remembers who he is, and I don't think many people care tbh, they only watch to see the big name celebrities, hollywood stars or ex-professionals, not Jonathan Wilkes. Jonathan Wilkes isn't a name that's gonna make people go "Oh I wanna see that" or "I'd really like to pledge some money so that I can see Jonathan Wilkes" - I think he's pretty pathetic. |

Lol I think having played a part in creating soccer aid is enough to deserve to be famous. He used to play footy as a youngster and enjoys it so nothing wrong with him taking it seriously. If it motivates him to be healthy then I don't see the problem. People would rather see a serious game I think anyway, at least I would. |
